Isabel Bourbon

RELATING TRADITION
WITH TECHNOLOGY
Isabel gained her degree in Interior Design and Equipment (ESART,IPCB) in 2010, before working with the António Gradim, Lda. architectural firm. In 2012 she was part of the team of designers at the “More Design. More Industry” residency, in Paredes. In that same year she collaborated in the decoration and in the furniture design for the José Saramago Foundation. In 2013 she cofounded the multidisciplinary studio |Elas Duas|, which, through design, interaction and intervention in the space, strives to find new relationships between tradition and technology. She took part in the TASA Project “Ligações” international creative residence. Also in 2013, she created and coordinated the “Da Panela, a gastronomia revisitada pelo design” project [Out of the pan, gastronomy revisited by design] as part of her master’s thesis in Product Design, which she has since completed. She currently works as a product designer at Ameto Mobiliário.
