Hugo da Silva

A MIX OF CULTURAL REFERENCES AND COLLECTIVE MEMORIES

Born in the Algarve, Hugo pursued his passion for design from an early age and went on to study Industrial Design at the Institute of Arts and Design Studies (IADE) in Lisbon followed by a post-graduate diploma in Product Design from the Glasgow School of Art. Hugo has collaborated with a number of award-winning design studios; notably the Lisbon-based creative practice Almadesign, Isao Hosoe Design in Milan, Michael Sodeau and Person Lloyd in London.

Hugo moved to London in 2008 to broaden his horizons in the world of interiors and product design, and he has since developed numerous hospitality projects internationally, private residentials and furniture. Hugo draws on a rich multi-disciplinary background in design to transform any creative vision into a visual reality. His creative approach combines the use of colour, textures and shapes with an authentic mix of cultural references and collective memories.
