Alexandra Gonçalves

EMOTIONAL AND INTUITIVE 
DESIGN

Born in Lisbon, Alexandra Gonçalves studied in Madrid and graduated in Interior Design in 2009. She worked for several architecture studios and moved between Madrid, Zurich and Berlin. The interest for the design on a smaller scale determined her career path. She focuses in furniture and home objects creations while exploring the boundaries between craftsmanship, industry and their inherent production methods. Conceptual narrative guidelines play an important role in the approach of each new project. Her work unveil an emotional and intuitive design vocabulary that blends with both structural and subtle details.
